RACES | PARENT ROLES

VOLUNTEERS

For race days, parents are strongly encouraged to get involved by volunteering to help with registration, bib distribution and collection, gate keeping, timing, and course preparation. The Program Director will email parents through a program called SignUpGenius a week prior to a race with volunteer opportunities. The program will allow parents to choose volunteer positions and times online. On race day, if there are still job openings, there will be signup sheets at the RTC for people to sign up for the remaining jobs. Races are especially important volunteer days, as it’s difficult to run an efficient race without a lot of help and it’s one of the reasons Mighty Mites is the most inexpensive program around.

All parent volunteers are required to sign an Acknowledgment of Risk and Release form from the Alyeska Ski Club. These forms will be available each day at the Mighty Mite table in the RTC.

PARTICIPANT MANAGEMENT

Lunch is not supervised by coaches on race days or training days. Parents/guardians are responsible for their respective children during lunch. Please remain near the hill and in phone contact in case something comes up or we need to get a hold of you during the day.
